I’m currently in the middle of this one, and it’s a fascinating, if lengthy, journey. The novel tells the life story of its protagonist, Archibald “Archie” Ferguson, four times over, with his life splitting into four parallel paths based on a single random event. The premise is a lot of fun to follow and strongly reminds me of the film ‘Mr. Nobody,’ with its exploration of chance, choice, and the different paths a life can take. It’s a complex and immersive read that charts the possibilities and constraints of a single human existence.
